It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of such an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of countless patients, peers, and friends”.

A Beacon of Care and Commitment

A beacon of healing, education, and unshakable dedication to providing the highest possible standard of care, Dr. Walburger was more than just a dentist. He was a pioneer in the field. He served our community without expecting anything in return for a number of decades, and he left a lasting impression on everyone who had the honor of coming into contact with him. Dr. Walburger prioritized his family above anything else in his life. A devoted husband and father of three who left an indelible mark on the lives of many people via his example of selflessness and the importance of family values. His legacy will be remembered not only for his extraordinary dental expertise, but also for the love and dedication he demonstrated toward his family.

A Cherished Leader and Friend

While we are thinking about his legacy, we are reminded of the significant influence that he had on the members of our clinic family. At each of his three dental clinics—Lethbridge Dental Services South, Crossings Dental, and Medicine Hat Dental—Dr. Walburger was not only a manager but also a friend to the members of his team that he oversaw professionally. His generosity, sage advice, and genuine concern left an impression on everyone in his immediate vicinity, thereby generating a sense of togetherness and belonging that will be treasured for all time.

Honoring His Memory

We will remember Dr. Walburger’s memory by serving our patients, the city, and the surrounding area alongside his associate dentists in the days ahead, and we will carry his legacy with us in our hearts while we do so. Let us pay tribute to the memories of Dr. Walburger by always demonstrating the qualities of compassion, integrity, and dedication that he showed in his daily life. Dr. Walburger knew he wanted to work with his hands while he was growing up on the family farm just outside of Cardston, Alberta. As a result, he began his first dental job as a denturist. In order to pursue a career in dentistry, he decided to return to school since he found the surgical process of replacing lost teeth with dentures that were supported by implants to be really fascinating.

Education and Expertise

In addition to obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree from Lethbridge University, Dr. Walburger went on to receive his doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. His journey was characterized by a strong commitment to learning and a strong desire to acquire new information.  In his capacity as a dentist in Lethbridge, Dr. Walburger used a holistic approach to the mouth, determining the state of dental and overall health while also addressing problems and meeting wishes. He made it a priority to learn about his patients and the specific requirements they had, which allowed him to provide a more individualized dental experience.

Embracing Life in Southern Alberta

Living in Southern Alberta was a wonderful experience for Dr. Walburger, his wife, and their three children, since they were able to take part in a wide variety of activities both indoors and outside. Their life was full of excitement and adventure, and it included everything from music and art to sports like soccer and volleyball. Outside of his dentistry business, Dr. Walburger enjoyed a variety of pastimes, including riding motorcycles, going boating in the summer, going snowmobiling in the winter, and spending quality time with his family and their cherished French bulldog, Gus.
