Catalina Waked Death – Catalina Herrera, a Senior at Reedy High School, who was also known Catalina Waked passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, she was 17 years old. With her unshakable dedication to her trade and her enthusiasm for the arts, Catalina, a senior who was both bright and creative, managed to leave an indelible mark on the hearts of many people. Through her participation in NTPA plays such as “Mean Girls” and “Anastasia,” she gave delight to audiences all around the world and lit the stage.
The contributions that Catalina made to NTPA throughout the course of her time there were incalculable, and the influence that she had on her classmates, friends, and professors will be gratefully acknowledged and remembered. She was noted for her generosity, energy, and contagious attitude, in addition to being a talented artist. She was also a treasured friend and a student who was committed to her studies.
In remembrance of Catalina, the North Texas Performing Arts will have a memorial service in the Rodenbaugh Theatre on Saturday, March 2nd, at twelve o’clock in the afternoon. During the service, which will continue for roughly one hour, loved ones will have the opportunity to join together to celebrate Catalina’s life, share memories that are dear to them, and find comfort in the company of one another. After the service, there will be a reception held in the Akers Theatre, which will provide a place for additional contemplation and support.
Rather than sending flowers, Catalina’s family has asked that memorial contributions be donated to North Texas Performing Arts in her name. As an appropriate homage to Catalina’s passion for the arts, this gift assures that her legacy will continue to inspire and enhance the lives of future generations of performers. Catalina’s passion for the arts was a driving force behind her success.
