Aiden Goodwill, a beloved 19-year-old from Pubnico, tragically passed away in a devastating ATV accident on February 25, sending shockwaves through the community of Sissiboo Grand Lake. The accident occurred along Fourth Lake Road around 5:15 p.m., prompting a swift response from the Digby Royal Canadian Mounted Police, fire department, and Emergency Health Services (EHS).
Reports indicate that Aiden was the sole occupant of the ATV when it overturned on the logging road. Despite the rapid arrival of first responders, Aiden was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving his family, friends, and neighbors grieving his untimely loss.
In the aftermath of this tragedy, the Digby Royal Canadian Mounted Police, in collaboration with a collision reconstructionist and the Medical Examiner Service, initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. While the inquiry is ongoing, the priority remains providing support to Aiden’s grieving family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
Celebration Of Life: As the community grapples with the enormity of their loss, arrangements have been made to honor Aiden’s life with a gathering scheduled for Sunday, March 3rd, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Yarmouth Fire Hall. All those wishing to offer their condolences and pay their respects to Aiden’s family are welcome to attend. The gathering aims to provide an opportunity for the community to come together, share memories, and find solace in one another’s company as they navigate the sadness of their loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Aiden Goodwill’s family and loved ones during this challenging time. We extend our deepest condolences and pray that they find comfort in the love and support of those around them.
